Charlotte Farmer

Charlotte Christa Suzanne (Mlink) Farmer Charlotte Christa Suzanne Farmer, daughter of the late Fritz and Charlotte (Fischer), Mlink was born December 13, 1931 in Dresden, Germany. On August 2, 1956, Charlotte was united in marriage to the love of her life, Lee Jackson Farmer, Sr. in Wiesbaden, Germany. They shared over 56 years of marriage together and four children: Lee, Rebecca, Yvonne and Michael. Due to Lee’s military career, the family became accustomed to moving and Charlotte was the glue that held the family together. She was extremely adaptable to this lifestyle. Charlotte was an excellent mother, homemaker, and cook. Charlotte was an avid reader, seamstress and obtained a musical degree in classical music. In her spare time, she was involved with her church and loved to help others. Charlotte enjoyed life. Charlotte was an exceptionally kind woman. She never said a mean word about anyone, always looked for the good in everyone and always put everyone else’s needs above her own. Charlotte loved her pets and was an advocate for homeless animals. She enjoyed her community of Richland and has been here the past 25 years. Charlotte passed away at 11:48 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in the Mercy Hospital of Springfield, Missouri having attained the age of 81. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. Charlotte is survived by her beloved husband: Lee of the home; four children: Lee Jackson Farmer, Jr. (Joy) of Salem, OR, Rebecca Ann Reynolds, MD (Glenn) of Bonaire, GA, Yvonne Renee Keller of Sanford, FL, and Michael Keith Farmer (Cindy) of Waco, TX; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2012, in the Memorial Chapel of Richland with Father John Groner officiating. Favorite music selections included, "Amazing Grace", "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "You Raise me Up". Serving as escorts were Lee Farmer, Jr., Justin Reynolds, Jackson Chapman, Jake Heller, Michael Farmer, Brandon Reynolds, Bryce Chapman and Glenn Reynolds. Burial followed in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery – Ft. Leonard Wood, Waynesville, MO. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Charlotte Farmer and may be left at the Memorial Chapel of Richland.
