Jeffery DeWayne Lofton

Jeffery DeWayne Lofton, son of Ellis Leroy Lofton and Lois Ann (Jester) Lofton, was born March 26, 1972 in Ft. Polk, Louisiana. Due to his dad being in the military, Jeffery lived a military life and lived in Oklahoma and Germany at different duty stations, but most of his life was spent in the Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri area where he graduated from Waynesville High School with the Class of 1989. He spent a couple of years in North Carolina with his children but came back to Missouri where he has lived since. For most of his working years, Jeffery worked as a mechanic, working on cars. His last job was at O’Reily’s Auto Parts Store selling car parts. Jeffery enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was fishing, camping, or just sitting and visiting with friends and family. Jeffery was blessed with three children and his family was very important to him. He was looking forward to spending time with his grandson. Jeffery was very giving person and was always willing to help someone, whether it was a customer at the auto parts store, friend, or family member. Jeffery passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, in the University of Missouri Hospital of Columbia, Missouri due to injuries sustained in a car accident. He had attained the age of 50 years. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. Jeffery leaves to cherish his memory, his mother: Lois Lofton of St. Robert, MO; two children: Cheyanna Lofton of Lebanon, MO and Meilania Lofton of the state of North Carolina; two stepdaughters: Ocean Hubbard and Trinity Hubbard, both of St. Robert, MO; one grandchild: Evangelyne Southard; two brothers: James Lofton and William Lofton (Cheryl), all of St. Robert, MO; one sister: Julie Romans of St. Robert, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Jeffery was preceded in death by his dad, Ellis Leroy Lofton; and one son, Harley Lofton. Even though he is gone from our sight, his willing and giving spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Funeral services were held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert with Pastor Robert Warren officiating. The songs “Go Rest High on that Mountain” by Vince Gill” and “Now You’re in Heaven” by Nathan Grisdale were played. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jeffery Lofton and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
