Annelle Rae Grosskreutz

Annelle Rae Grosskreutz, daughter of the late Russell Lyle and Wilda (Bullied) Lyle, was born December 7, 1947 in Whittier, California. She entered into the presence of Jesus on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the home of her eldest daughter in Harrisburg, Missouri having attained the age of 78 years. As a young girl, Annelle grew up in Whittier, where she graduated from high school. She went on to further her education and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. While working for the Directorate of Resource Management in Ft. Leonard Wood, she met Glen. They began dating and they were united in marriage on August 14, 1983 in Crocker, Missouri. Glen and Annelle were blessed with three children: Jennifer, Alyssa, and Adam and shared over 39 years of marriage together. He preceded her in death in June of 2023. In her spare time, Annelle enjoyed scrapbooking and making greeting cards. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was an avid reader and crafter. Annelle had made a profession of faith and was a member of the Waypoint United Methodist Church of Waynesville for 35 years. She was willing to help wherever she was needed. After retirement from civil service, Annelle furthered her service to our Lord and the church by serving as an administrative assistant for Waypoint United for several years. Annelle will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children: Jennifer Thorpe of Harrisburg, MO, Alyssa Seburn (Ted) of Livermore, CA, and Adam Grosskreutz(Hanna) of Lexington, KY; two grandchildren: Madeline and Jessica Seburn; one brother: Jene Lyle(Joan) of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister: Laura Herron (Sheldon) of Myrtle Beach, SC ; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Annelle will be interred with her husband at Ft. Leonard Wood Veterans Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at Roubidoux Park (Pavillion 3) in Waynesville, MO on Saturday, September 5th at 11:00am for Annelle’s family and friends. Even though she is gone from our sight, Annelle’s love of family, community, and her faith will live on in our hearts forever. Memorial donations may be made in Annelle’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
