Barbara Floyce (Bond) Mosier

Barbara Floyce (Bond) Mosier, daughter of William Bond and Bennie (Cook) Bond, was born January 15, 1938, in Cooter, Missouri where she grew up and graduated from high school. She entered her eternal home on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics of Columbia, Missouri having attained the age of 87 years. On October 17, 1956, in Cooter, Missouri, Barbara was united in marriage to a United States Army soldier, Lonzo Mitchell Mosier. They shared over 45 years of marriage together before Lonzo preceded her in death on July 5, 2002. Barbara and Lonzo were blessed with four children: Michael, Denise, Ginny, and Billy. Due to Lonzo being in the military, Barbara and the family lived the military life and were transferred to different duty stations; Kentucky, Germany and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where they were stationed when Lonzo retired from the military. The family decided to stay in the Fort Leonard Wood area and Barbara raised her three children here. She worked hard to help provide for her family and worked on Fort Leonard Wood in the mess hall, Star Motel in St. Robert, Jackie’s Bar and spent 28 years at Steve’s Place before retiring. Family was very important to Barbara, and she loved spending time with them. She was considered the “best mom” and was fun to be around. She loved to play games like Yahtzee, Solitaire, Phase 10, Bingo and enjoyed watching various television shows. Barbara loved yellow roses and taking care of her cats, Ashes and Buddy. Barbara was an avid President Trump supporter and ironically enough, she passed away on his birthday. Barbara will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory her three children: Michael Mosier (Crystal) of Waynesville, MO, Denise Miller of Waynesville, MO, and Ginny Mosier (Patrick O’Toole) of Waynesville, MO; three grandchildren: Corey Mosier (Heather), Aleida McCord (Corey), and Brianna Pierce (Jessee); nine great-grandchildren: Shawn, Hannah, Trinity, Taylor, Treven, Baby Corey, Mason, Emma, and Kayzen; five great-great grandchildren: Zander, Zane, Rebel, Waylon, and Ellie; one brother: Jimmy Bond (Willie) of Cooter, MO; two sisters-in-law: Retha Mosier of Stoutland, MO and Jennie Rounsaville of Bloomfield, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; infant son: Billy Mosier; and four sisters: Wilma, Martha, Sister, and Jewel. Even though she is gone from our sight, Barbara’s love for her family will live on in our hearts forever. Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Pastor Richard Breeden officiating. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2025 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Barbara Mosier and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
