Donna Jean Wogan

Donna Jean Wogan, daughter of the late Bernard Franklin Lafferty, Sr. and Adelia Bell (De Francesco) Lafferty entered this world on January 13, 1939 and entered into the present of Jesus on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in her home in St. Robert, Missouri having attained the age of 84 years. Donna was born and raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania and graduated from Altoona High School. On December 27, 1958, Donna was united in marriage to Daniel “Dan” Clifford Wogan in Altoona, where Daniel also grew up and graduated from high school. They shared over 59 years of marriage together before Dan preceded her in death on June 9, 2018 and were blessed with three sons: Daniel Jr., Stephen and Jeffrey. Due to Dan being in the military, Donna and the family moved to different duty stations with him and at the time of Dan’s retirement they were stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where they decided to remain. Donna was able to stay at home and raise her three sons, along with serving as a day care provider to other families that needed help. While her boys were young, she also served as a den mother for the Cub Scouts. In her spare time, Donna liked to read and enjoyed her flowers. She loved going to Branson, especially with her family. You would find them either at Silver Dollar City, Branson Showboat, or different music shows in town. Donna was a member of the Red Hats Society, Military Widows Club, Birthday Club and the Ladies Aid at her church, Faith Evangelical Church of St. Robert, Missouri. Donna loved her family tremendously and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She treasures all the times they were together. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children: Danny Wogan (Loreen) of Altoona, PA, Stephen Wogan (Julie) of Crookston, MN, and Jeff Wogan (Amanda) of Jefferson City, MO; five grandchildren: Janna Reighard (Shane) of Simpsonville, SC, Kiersten Parker (Mike) of Florence, NJ, Trey Wogan of Colorado Springs, CO, Kayla Kauffman (Michael) of Columbia, MO, and Jacob Wogan (Megan) of Camdenton, MO; sixteen great grandchildren: Myha, Brycen, Harper, Mackenzie, Gavin, Adler, Stella, Lila, Nathaniel, Elijah, Aiden, Andreas, Emily, Genesis, Chrissy, and Linley; one sister: Patricia Wendt of Claysburg, PA; sister-in-law: Donna Ritts; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded by five siblings: Bernard Jr., Eddie, Bobby, Melvin, and Paulie Lafferty. Even though she is gone from our sight, Donna’s love of family and her faith will live on in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 in the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Robert, MO. Burial will be held in Alto Reste Cemetery in Altoona, PA. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 in the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Robert, MO. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Donna Wogan and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
