Eddie Dean Henry

Eddie Dean Henry, son of Virgil Roy Henry and Mae Bell (Brown) Henry was born September 9, 1958 in Crocker, Missouri. He went to school in Richland and attended Richland High. Eddie lived out his whole life in Pulaski County and made many friends along the way. When Eddie was young, he made a profession of faith and became a member of Grace Baptist Church in Richland. Eddie married Kathy Lynn Luna on December 30, 2001 in Richland, Missouri. He enjoyed good times, whether dancing, singing, playing the harmonica, watching westerns, documentaries, and Trivia. Eddie especially enjoyed fishing, floating, barbequing, and having hog roasts with his family and friends. Eddie loved to spoil his beloved canine companions, Sugar Bear and Rosie. Those dogs brought him great joy. Eddie passed away with his loving family by his side on the afternoon of Monday, April 29, 2024 in Richland, Missouri, attaining the age of sixty-five. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lucy Pauline Henry, and his brothers, John Jake Henry, Roy Henry, Lonnie Henry, Richard Henry, Charles Jr. Henry, Jerry Wayne “Peach” Henry, and Leonard "Stymie" Henry. Eddie is survived by his wife, Kathy Henry of Richland, MO, 4 children: Andrew Smith of Richland, MO, Jeremy Newell (Leslie) of Albany, KY, Jacquetha Decker (Andrew) of Richland, MO, and James Newell (Ashley) of Richland, MO; 11 grandchildren: Haley, Kadie, Mikayla, Hope, Logan, Breann, Alexus, Matthew, Joshua, Wyatt, and Jocelyn; 3 great-grandchildren: Milani, Finlee, and Natale; 5 siblings: Gloria Holloway (Robert) of Richland, MO, Virginia Graves (Danny) of Laquey, MO, Terry Henry of Richland, MO, Mary Kaye Sanders (Donnie) of Richland, MO, and David Henry of Richland, MO; 2 sisters-in-law: Lavonne Henry and Shirley Henry both of Richland, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Eddie will always be missed but forever remembered by those who loved him. Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024 in the Memorial Chapel of Richland with Pastor Danny Graves officiating. Songs “Go Rest High on That Mountain,” “I Will Carry You,” “Precious Memories,” and “Spirit In The Sky” were played. Andrew Smith, Terry Henry, Mark Howlett, Mike Webster, Neil Warren, and Bruce Warren. Honorary escorts were Bruce Warren, Billy Hankins, Matthew Vire, and Joshua Vire. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery of Richland, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland.
