James Harvey "Zeke" Anderson

James Harvey “Zeke” Anderson, son of the late Thomas Earl Anderson and Lena Marie (Brown) Anderson, was born on January 20, 1952, at his parents’ home in Waynesville, Pulaski County, Missouri. Throughout his high school years, Zeke worked at Westside S Kelly station and graduated from Waynesville High School with the Class of 1970. After graduating from high school, Zeke continued his great work ethic he started when he was younger. He took great pride in his work and was employed at the boat factor in Lebanon, Koso Road Construction and Empire Gas before he began his 23-year long career on Fort Leonard Wood at NAF (Non-Appropriated Funds). On January 7, 1983, Zeke was united in marriage to the love of his life, Carolyn Sue Roam in Waynesville, Missouri. At the time of their union, Zeke gained two sons, Thomas (Tommy) and Ronald (Ronnie), that he was very proud of. He loved them as if they were his own. After his retirement from NAF, Zeke was able to do more of the things that he enjoyed…hunting and fishing. He loved being outdoors and just enjoying the great outdoors. He could also fix just about anything that was broken. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Zeke passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, in his home having attained the age of 72 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, his two sons: Tommy Bowling (Shannon Barbeau) of Laquey, MO and Ronnie Bowling of Buckhorn, MO; five grandchildren: Wheatley Bowling, Wrielley Bowling, Shayla Richter (Bradley), Brendan Bowling and J.D. Bowling; one great grandson: Luke David Richter; two brothers: Tom Anderson (Winona) of Waynesville, MO and Buck Anderson of Devil’s Elbow, MO; four sisters: Linda Stockdale of Devil’s Elbow, MO, Clova Falenczykowski (Don) of Oswego, IL, Mary Anderson of Devil’s Elbow, MO and Janet Tower of the State of New Hampshire; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, Zeke was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn Anderson. Zeke will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. His love of family and dry sense of humor will live on in our hearts forever. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024 in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri with Curtis Hendrix officiating. Serving as escorts were Mike Jones, Danny Click, CD Storie, Jon Storie, Billy Barnett, David Brother, Chris Hendrix, Clinton Jarrett, Josh Woody, Bradley Richter, Bryan Jeter, and Derrick "Homeboy" Biggs. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Zeke Anderson and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
