Jerica Lynne Nicole Dette

Jerica Lynne Nicole Dette, daughter of Charles William Dette and Donna Renee (Scrivner) Quick, was born May 27, 1997 in Osage Beach, Missouri. Jerica and her family lived in the Richland community her entire life. She attended school there graduating from RHS in 2015. Jerica was a very talented young woman. She was athletic and loved playing soccer, basketball and softball. She was also very talented in music and enjoyed playing the sax, clarinet, guitar, as well as, other instruments. Jerica’s other hobbies included crocheting and making bracelets. Jerica was creative and could do almost anything she set her mind to do, she just loved the challenge. Jerica was truly a friend to everyone and could light up a room once she entered. Jerica attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Richland, Missouri. Jerica passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Lebanon, Missouri having attained the age of 21 years. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her and leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Donna Quick of Richland, MO; her father, Charles Dette of Iberia, MO (Kandi Semple); 5 siblings, Jacob Dette, Jade and Jaxon Quick all of Richland, MO, Zain Dette and Rhiannon Ellis both of Iberia, MO; her grandmother, Alpha Lynne Scrivner of Richland, MO; uncle, “Skip” Scrivner of Richland, MO; aunt, Lora Hobbs of Richland, MO; her cousins, Tara, Nick, Megan, Vanessa & Sarah; and a host of other relatives and friends. Jerica was preceded in death by her grandfather, Randy Scrivner; several great grandparents, Fay Bridges, Ruth and Lawrence Harris, Minnie Holt, and Richard and Alice Dette. Though Jerica’s time on this earth was brief, and she leaves behind broken hearts and shattered dreams of what might have been....We give thanks to God for allowing us the time we had with Jerica and for the joy she brought to all those who knew and loved her. Your struggles are over sweet Jerica, now you can experience unspeakable joy with our loving Father. Your beautiful smile and loving spirit will forever be remembered and never forgotten. A Celebration of Life Service was held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019 in the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Richland, Missouri with Pastor’s Zandy Vandell and Chuck Baker officiating. Favorite song selections included, “I Can Only Imagine,” “Blessed Be Your Name,” “Beloved,” “Amazing Grace,” and “God Gave Me You.” Interment will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery of Richland. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland.
