Mary Kathleen Sasfy

Mary (Cissie) Kathleen (Phelps) Sasfy, daughter of Lewis Monroe Phelps and Pearl Mae (Downing) Phelps, was born August 8, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio. She passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the Rosewood Residential Care Facility in Rolla, Missouri having attained the age of 88 years. Known as Cissie to friends and family, Mary spent her early years with her family following her dads work with American Airlines. Moving from Ohio to Michigan to New York and eventually moving to Ardmore Oklahoma where she completed High school and attended Oklahoma University. Mary wed Clifford C. Sasfy in Monroe Michigan, and 8 years later were blessed with twin children: Mark David and Melissa Davina. Mary and Cliff later divorced and she became a single mother who went to great lengths to provide for her children. Mary moved to Tulsa Oklahoma and worked various jobs supporting her family to include becoming the first female loan officer of a savings and loan company. Mary moved her family to Ft. Lauderdale Florida and began a successful 30-year career as a real estate agent and owner of a property acquisition and management company with her Common Law Husband of 33 years, Robert Rouault. Mary enjoyed Florida living and in her spare time you could find her at the beach walking and relaxing on the sand. Mary enjoyed being outdoors, whether that was spending time in the pool, taking walks, or working in the yard or garden. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed the works of Agatha Christie and Erma Bombeck. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son: Mark Sasfy (Kathi) of Crocker, MO; grandchildren: John Sims, Montanna Sasfy, Victoria Sasfy, Jordan Sasfy ; Son-in-law: Bret Cochran of New Braunfels Texas; grandchildren: Danielle (Heaton) Ploeger (Robert), Kirstin Heaton, Keith Cochran, and Taylor Cochran; two great grandchildren: Ryleigh Ploeger and Jackson Ploeger; one sister: Roberta Gibbons (Burr) of Coquille, Oregon; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Cochran; Common law husband Robert Rouault; as well as three siblings: Linda Hoff, John Phelps, and James Monroe Phelps. Even though she is gone from our sight, Mary’s love for her family will live on in our hearts forever.
