Michael Thomas Dembey

Michael Thomas Dembey was born on September 27, 1991, in Rolla, Missouri. He was the son of Burt Berg and Theresa Marie Dembey. Throughout his life, Michael faced the challenges of a physical disability. Despite these difficulties, he demonstrated remarkable determination and graduated from Robinson State School in Rolla, Missouri. Michael was known for his cheerful disposition. He smiled often and had a genuine affection for everyone he met. His happiness was infectious, and those around him cherished his presence and returned his warmth. He enjoyed watching television, with wrestling being a particular favorite. Traveling brought him joy, especially trips in the van and a memorable visit to Las Vegas. Michael loved his dogs and, above all, his family. On Friday, April 3, 2026, Michael entered his heavenly home while at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. At the age of 35, he left behind a legacy of love and joy. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by everyone who knew him. Cherishing his memory are his parents, Theresa Dembey and Burt Berg; his sister Jessica Thompson of Brinktown, MO; three stepbrothers, Jared Berg of Waynesville, MO, Justin Berg of Ft. Benning, GA, and Richard Kee of Georgia; two sisters, Siarra Berg of Dixon, MO, and Sandra Kee of Georgia; his maternal grandmother Jane Dembey of Dixon, MO; his paternal step-grandfather Keith Berg of Crocker, MO; as well as other relatives and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his biological father; his maternal grandfather: Richard Dembey; and his step-grandmother: Linda Berg. Though he is no longer with us, Michael’s joyful spirit and infectious happiness will live on forever in our hearts. Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri with Rev. Richard Breeden officiating. Serving as escorts were family and friends. Services and arrangements were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
