Ricky "Rick" Douglas Sallee

Ricky “Rick” Douglas Sallee, son of the late Carl L. Sallee and Mary Evelyn (Ealey) Sallee, was born on Independence Day, July 4, 1960, in Trumann, Arkansas. Rick, as he was known by his family and friends, entered the United States Marine Corp in 1979. He also dedicated his service to the 19th Combat Engineer group, the Vietnam Conflict. He was a part of the reunion for many, many years. On January 8, 1999, Rick was united in marriage to Cindy Louise Peters in Waynesville, Missouri. Rick worked for many years with the City of Waynesville and the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery as a ground maintenance supervisor. He was a member of several organizations to include the Voyager of Central Ozark Voiture 460 of the Society of the 40 & 8, Legionnaire at the American Legion Post 331 for five years, the Waynesville / Ft. Wood Masonic Lodge #375 AF & AM, and the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine in Springfield, Missouri. Rick passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, in his home having reached the age of 64 years. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. Rick leaves to mourn his passing, his wife: Cindy L. Sallee of St. Robert, MO; two children: Ashley Sallee and Logan Sallee, both of St. Robert, MO; one brother: John Sallee of St. Robert, MO; one aunt: Mildred Ealey of Trumann, AR; mother-in-law: Donna Bratcher and father-in-law: Pete Nulph, both of St. Robert, MO; several other relatives and friends. Even though he is gone from our sight, Rick’s commitment to his country and community will live on in our hearts forever. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in the Memorial Chapel of Waynesville, Missouri with Pastor Danny Graves officiating. The songs "When I Get Where I'm Going" by Brad Paisley & Dolly Parton, "Go Rest High on that Mountain" by Vince Gill, and "Amazing Grace" by Alan Jackson were played. Serving as escorts were Don Champaign, Randy Nickels, Randy Brown, Willie Miller, Cory Mosier, Logan Sallee, and Lonnie Krantz. Burial with military honors followed in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri with military honors provided by Missouri Honors Team. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Rick Sallee and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
