June 17, 1963 - October 21, 2019
Andrea M. Glen, daughter of Heinz and Gisela (Raua) Hartherz, was born June 17, 1963 in Hanau, Germany. She passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 in her home having attained the age of 56 years. As a young girl, Andrea grew up in Wachenbuchen-Maintal, Germany and attended school in Hanau. On September 21, 1985, Andrea was united in marriage to Gregory M. Glen in Perry Hall, Maryland. They shared over 34 years of marriage together and were blessed with four children: Jackie, Michele, Thomas and Nicole. Andrea was always a hardworking woman. Her very first job was as a German baker. She was the first female baker in her home town. After coming to the United States, she began working for Walmart. She served in the district office as a Human Resources Officer and also worked in the vision center. In her spare time, Andrea was an avid Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan and would keep track of their games every season. She enjoyed traveling, especially on the Carnival Cruise Line, going to Dauphin Island, boating and traveling in their RV. Andrea also liked to go shopping, even grocery shopping! But most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. Andrea had made a profession of faith and was currently attending The River in Waynesville. Her faith was very evident in the fact that she enjoyed doing charity and outreach work. She was always willing to help wherever she could. Andrea will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Gregory M. Glen of Waynesville, MO; parents: Heinz and Gisela Hartherz of Germany; three children: Jackie Salazar of Yelm, WA, Michele Glen and Nicole Glen, both of St. Robert, MO; five grandchildren: Thomas Salazar, Noah Salazar, Ja’Ron Glen, Ja’Qwann Edwards and Anastasia Glen; brother: Peter Hartherz of Germany; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Andrea was preceded in death by her son: Thomas Michael Glen and one brother: Matthias Hartherz. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2019 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Pastor Chris Wiggs officiating. Soloist Laura Wiggs sang “Oceans” and “Forever”. Andrea’s children and husband, all recalled their wonderful memories of her. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Andrea Glen and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
