Ann Lee Washburn, daughter of the late Sang Jun Lee and Kan Nan Jun, was born June 25, 1936 in Korea. As a young girl, she grew up in Korea and in 1968 she came to the United States. For the majority of her working years, Ann was a landlord and ran several businesses along with her companion Danny Denbow. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and taking trips and cruises around the world. Most importantly, she treasured those times spent visiting with family and friends. Ann passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 in the Barnes Jewish Hospital of St. Louis, Missouri having attained the age of 78 years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. Ann leaves to cherish her memory, her companion: Danny Denbow of Waynesville, MO; two brothers: Kyong Yong Lee of Austin, TX and Wally Yong Lee of Waynesville, MO; one sister: Sung Yon Nielsen of Safety Harbor, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Pastor Danny Graves officiating. Mrs. Sang Chu Park led the congregation in prayer and the songs “Amazing Grace” by Judy Collins and “What A Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong were played. Serving as escorts were family and friends. Burial followed in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ann Washburn and may be left at the funeral home.
