Charles “Chuck” Allen Cline, son of Ben Allen Cline and Mary Alma (Duncan) Sheehan, was born March 1, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Mary and John Sheehan. Chuck served his country in the United States Army and he was very proud to have served with a tour to Korea and to Vietnam. For his faithful service, he earned several awards and commendations, such as the National Defense Service Medal, Expert Qualification Badge M-14, Expert Qualification Badge M-16, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, 3 Overseas Bars, and the Army Commendation Medal. After serving in the military, Chuck began working as an inner city truck driver in Springfield and also became a Master electrician. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also liked to put things together like small engines and plenty of puzzles. He also really enjoyed family get-togethers at the family farm. He was a big animal lover and fed every stray animal that came around his home. Chuck passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri having attained the age of 71 years. Chuck is survived by his daughter: Jessica Cline of Springfield, MO; one sister: Donna Sharpensteen of Waynesville, MO; two grandsons: Tyler and Isaac; two nephews: Josh and Caleb Sharpensteen; three nieces: Brandy Sharpensteen (Gregory), Dianna Zanetti and Christina Zanetti; along with several great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his his mother: Mary Alma (Duncan) Sheehan; father: John Sheehan; biological father: Ben Allen Cline; brother: Benny Lee Cline; sisters: Patricia Allen Cline (Zanetti) and Jackie Sheehan; brother-in-law: Ronnie Sharpensteen; and his grandparents. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Pastor Paul Duncan officiating. The songs “Amazing Grace”, “The Other Side” and “Go Rest High on that Mountain” were played. Serving as escorts were Josh Sharpensteen, Caleb Sharpensteen, Aaron Wolfe, Jonathan Gray, Lonnie Garrett and Charlie Wilson. Burial with military honors followed in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville with military honors provided by the Missouri Honors Team.
