Charlotte May Pemberton
May 8, 1933 - May 9, 2022
Charlotte May Pemberton daughter of the late Edward Martin Station and Marion Carol (Lattiak) Station was born May 8, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois where she grew up. Charlotte followed the Catholic faith and was a long-time beloved member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Richland. While Frank was working at a shipyard, he met Charlotte. Frank’s brother was going with Charlotte’s sister, Vivian at the time, and on June 4, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, there was a double wedding for the happy couples. Charlotte and Frank moved to Richland, Missouri in 1956, to begin a wonderful life together. The Pemberton home soon filled with the sounds of little feet and a lot of laughter as each of their seven children were born. Charlotte loved caring for her home and family. Once her children were raised, Charlotte worked part-time at various jobs to keep herself busy. In Charlotte’s spare time, she babysat, and would say, “What’s an extra child?” She enjoyed baking, sold her baked goods, and milk to make extra money just to buy encyclopedias for her children (which everyone seemed to borrow). She enjoyed ceramics, sewing, embroidering, gardening, canning, and making cards. Charlotte was a charter member of the local American Legion Auxiliary and had just recently received her sixty-year pin. On a bright and sunny afternoon Charlotte passed away, Monday, May 9, 2022 after just reaching her 89th birthday on Sunday, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly while in the Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri. The world became a little darker as goodbyes were said, but heaven became a whole lot brighter as God welcomed Charlotte into her heavenly home. Charlotte never let her health struggles bring her down. She decided to find the joy and blessings in every day. She was funny, mischievous, and ornery. Charlotte was a jokester and enjoyed a good laugh. She had a beautiful smile that could light up any room along with her bubbly personality which made Charlotte a joy to be around. She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Frank, one sister, Vivian Pemberton, and daughter, Christine Malley. Charlotte leaves behind to cherish her memory six children: Ronald Pemberton (Beverly) of Richland, MO, Sharon Ferguson (Tom) of Springfield, MO, Linda Williams (Billy) of Richland, MO, David Pemberton (Joanne) of Longview, Texas, Frank Pemberton (Amy) of San Antonio, TX, Marilyn Harrison (Steve) of Richland, MO; one brother, Eward Station (Ellie) of Woodstock, IL; one son-in-law: Pete Malley of Cache, OK; 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren: nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Charlotte was a dearly loved daughter, wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandma, and friend. She was a proud of her family and cherished spending time with her family and friends. Charlotte will be greatly missed but forever loved and remembered by those who knew and loved her…until we see her again.
