Christy Lynn (Anderson) Summers

June 24, 1972 - April 5, 2022

Christy Lynn Summers daughter of the late Paul Melford Anderson and Mary Ann (Green) Anderson was born June 24, 1972 in Waynesville, Missouri. Christy left the world behind and entered into God’s presence, the morning of Tuesday, April 5, 2022, having attained the age of forty-nine. She made a profession of Faith and attended Community Baptist Church in Lebanon, Missouri. Christy grew up in Crocker, Missouri, where she attended school. She later received her GED in Lebanon, Missouri, after moving into the community where she resided most of her life. Christy was the proud mother of three children Jordan, Cassandra, and Bridget. Christy was devoted to her children and each one held a special place in her heart; as well as other children she adopted into her heart and home and loved just like her own. She had a wonderful work ethic throughout her life, and worked for the Lee Factory, Rave Water Sport (with her sisters), housekeeping and Home Health. One of Christy’s most favorite and rewarding jobs was while working at the Cope House. She was selfless and always stood willing to help the community For relaxation and fun Christy enjoyed going to the river, kayaking, back roading, and visiting with everyone. Christy never knew a stranger and stood ready to open her heart and home to those she loved. Christy cherished conversations and times spent with her friends and family. Christy leaves to celebrate her memory, her three children: Jordan Summers (Kylee Rust) of Lebanon, MO, Cassandra Howlett (Adam) of Richland, MO, and Bridget Anderson (James) Appleberry of Lebanon, MO; her mother, Mary Ann Anderson of Crocker, Missouri; 5 grandchildren: James Appleberry, Jr., Gage Newell, Ashlynn Howlett, Kaylynn Appleberry, and Asa Howlett; her special friend, Clint Scott of Lebanon, MO; siblings: Mary Kay Davis (Charlie) of Swedeborg, MO, Dorothy Gleave of Richland, MO, Andy Anderson (Peggy) of Swedeborg, MO, Pat Anderson (Kristy) of Swedeborg, MO, Roxie Coleman of Crocker, MO, and Paul Anderson (Cindy) of Crocker, MO; one brother-in-law: Kurt Massey of Devils Elbow, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, two sisters, Elaine Anderson, and Teresa Massey. Christy enjoyed life and was a kind and wonderful daughter, aunt, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to all, and she will always be treasured as a caring, forgiving, soft hearted soul. We will miss her unspeakably; she is gone to soon. Services were held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2022, in the Memorial Chapel of Richland with Pastor Allen Reeves officiating. Favorite recorded music included, “Live Like You Were Dying,” by Tim McGraw, “Another One Bites the Dust,” by Queen, and “Dancing in the Sky,” by Angel’s Perspective. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland.
