November 14, 1966 - October 25, 2019
Dalena Jean Haney, daughter of James Larry and Shera Jean (Myers) Sisk, was born November 14, 1966 in Waynesville, Missouri. As a young girl, Dalena grew up in the Laquey area, where she attended school and graduated from Laquey High School. On February 16, 1991, Dalena was united in marriage to James Boyd Haney. They shared over 28 years of marriage and three children: Russell, Joshua and Samantha. Dalena was a hardworker and was very dedicated to her work. She worked for a few years as a factory worker in a hat factory and a shoe factory. She enjoyed her factory work and made some lifelong friends with her co-workers. After leaving the factory, Dalena started working in the auto parts business delivering parts for O’Reilly’s and with dedication and hard work, she worked her way up to store manager. After many years of being well known at O’Reilly’s and knowing anything and everything about parts, she decided to start a new adventure at Part City in Dixon. Even though she was starting over, many of her customers followed her because of her hard work ethic and knowledge. She became a well-known and liked person in Dixon. In her spare time, Dalena loved to be on the river and outdoors; whether it was fishing with her father, going on camping trips with the family or going on spontaneous adventures of just jumping in the car and going. She enjoyed bowling and playing poker with friends and her favorite dates were rainy days. But most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, especially with her children and grandchildren. She loved them deeply and treasured every time she could spend with them. As a young girl, Dalena attended Idumea Baptist Church and in more recent years, she attended Stonebrooke Church in Waynesville. Dalena went home to be with her Lord, Friday, October 25, 2019 in her home having attained the age of 52 years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: James Haney of the home; three children: Russell Higgins (Carol) of Shenandoah, IA, Joshua Haney (Erica) of Crocker, MO and Samantha Rhodenizer (Chance) of Waynesville, MO; seven grandchildren: Deegan, Tucker, Jordyne, Grant, Holdyne, Daxton and Eloise; her father: Larry Sisk of Laquey, MO; two sisters: Amanda Arrington (Danny) of Richland, MO and Jaimie Brown of Rapid City, SD; grandmother: Arrena Graves of Laquey, MO; mother-in-law: Anna Haney of Waynesville, MO; brother-in-law: Mike Haney of Waynesville, MO; sister-in-law: April Allen of Dupont, WA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
