David Lee Puckett

June 5, 1960 - December 27, 2015

David Lee Puckett was born June 5, 1960 in the Fort Leonard Wood Hospital and lived in Waynesville/St. Robert area for most of his life. He went to school in Waynesville and graduated in 1978. David accepted the LORD as his Christ and Savior and was baptized in the First Baptist Church of Crocker. David loved to cook and fulfilled his skills as a Chef in various restaurants in this area as well as the Lake of the Ozarks for approximately 30 years. David was very passionate about sports. He loved football and baseball and loudly supported the Missouri teams. (St. Louis Rams, MIZZOU Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals). He enjoyed camping and canoeing with his family and friends, but most of all he loved hanging out with them. Another hobby David enjoyed was digging for crystal rocks in northern Arkansas. Over the years he acquired a nice collection of these rocks and enjoyed giving them to his family and friends. David was a very funny, caring, giving and loving person. He will truly be missed my many. David passed away on Sunday, 27 December 2015, and was preceded in death by his father Aubrey W. and mother Eula F. Puckett of Waynesville. He was survived by his brother Ronald W. Puckett, SR of Bayville, New Jersey, Sisters Carol F. Dye (husband Gary) and Mary F. Figg both of Waynesville, Missouri, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Rev. Christopher Hendrix officiating. The songs “Crying For Me”, “Going Home” and “Just As I Am” were played.
