Douglas Paul Etheridge

October 26, 1964 - July 30, 2015

Douglas Paul Etheridge, son of the late Charles and Patricia Anne (Holmes) Etheridge, was born October 26, 1964 in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. He passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 having attained the age of 50. As a young boy, Doug grew up and attended school in Crocker, Missouri. For over 30 years, Doug worked as a mechanic and for the last four years, he worked on Fort Leonard Wood for the military. In his spare time, Doug enjoyed being outdoors. You could find him floating, kayaking, fishing, camping or riding his 4-wheeler. Doug was united in marriage to Triva Dawn Stoner on October 31, 2008 in Pulaski County, Missouri. Upon their marriage, two families were blended and they shared five children: Amanda Dawn, Jennifer Rose, Jonathan Charles, Shannon Stoner and Gabrielle Bates. Doug loved his family tremendously and enjoyed spending time with them. Doug will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Triva Etheridge of Richland, MO; three children: Amanda Dawn Etheridge of Sedalia, MO, Jennifer Rose Etheridge of Kansas City, MO and Jonathan Charles Etheridge of Lebanon, MO; two stepchildren: Shannon Gene Stoner of Lebanon, MO and Gabrielle Renee Bates of Lebanon, MO; two grandchildren; three step grandchildren; one brother: David Etheridge of Crocker, MO; father and mother-in-law: Jerald and Donna Ivy of Wichita, KS; two aunts: Cheryl and Sue Bell; one uncle: T.R.; one great aunt: Betty Aud; former sister-in-law: Cory Kidd; several distant cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by one grandson; one brother: Steven Etheridge; and one sister-in-law: Rhonda Etheridge. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Rev. Christopher Hendrix officiating. The songs “Amazing Grace”, “Stand By Me” and “God Bless the Broken Road” were played. Serving as escorts were family and friends. Burial followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery of Richland, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Douglas Etheridge and may be left at the funeral home.
