She made a profession of faith at an early age and was a beloved member of the First Baptist Church of Richland for over 20 years. Her hobbies included, bowling, gardening, cooking, hosting luncheons, and spending time with family and friends. Some of her clubs and accomplishments include, Investment Club, BPW Woman of the Year, member of the Church Scholarship Committee, member of the Housing Authority, and Richland’s Woman of the Year. Evelyn had many other awards and accomplishments in her work. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Lena Pippin, brother-in-law, Leon Prater, and great niece, Sheila Moellman. Evelyn left her earthly home on June 13, 2022, having attained the age of eighty-three. She leaves behind to cherish her memory one sister, Jewell Frazier of Elsberry, MO; two nephews: Michael “Mike” Prater (Wilma) of Broken Arrow, OK, and Darrel Prater (Sandra) of Elsberry, MO; one niece, Becky Whitson (Tim) of St. Peters, MO; her lil furry companion, Zoe, who brought Evelyn great comfort and love for over eighteen years; along with many other relatives and friends. Most of you knew Evelyn by her given name, but to all her nieces and nephew she was “Auntie Nonnie.” She got that name from her oldest nephew, Michael when he couldn’t pronounce or say the name, Evelyn at a young age. So, when you hear someone in the family call her Nonnie you know. Until we meet again, know that Evelyn had a wonderful life and lived it out to the fullest. She cherished each and every friendship God blessed her while here and she will forever be missed by those she knew and loved.
