Frances "Marie" Parsons

August 6, 1931 - April 8, 2022

Frances “Marie” Parsons, daughter of the late James H. Mills and Margaret “Maggie” (Barns) Mills, was born August 6, 1931, in Richland, Missouri, where she grew up and attended school. Marie graduated from School of the Ozarks High School. Marie married the love of her life, Glenn Russell Parsons on July 17, 1957, in Rolla, Missouri. They shared over forty-nine years together before his passing on September 27, 2006. They lived and enjoyed life side by side, while raising their four children God had blessed them with. Marie was a devoted wife and mother. She lovingly cared for her home, her children, and was so proud of each of them. Marie entered into her heavenly home Friday evening, April 8, 2022, while in the Richland Care Center, having attained the age of ninety. Marie was quite the card. She loved and appreciated her extended family at the Care Center as well as the Hospice folks. She also enjoyed the house cats that would sometimes stop by her room for some love and attention. As a young girl, Marie professed her faith, and love for God, and followed the Morman Faith and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints-Lebanon Ward. She was highly involved in the Relief Society at church. She loved children and was a babysitter for many children throughout her life. Marie also delivered Meals on Wheels with Glenn for twenty years. Marie’s hobbies included gardening, canning, and taking walks. She had a servant’s heart and enjoyed caring for friends, and neighbors. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Glenn, one brother, Ernest Barnes, three sisters: Pearl Atterbury, Ruth Fuller, and Hazel Norris, and one grandson, James “Marty” Luczak. Marie leaves behind her four children: Debby Staab (John) of The Villages, FL, Doris “Lea” Albright (Wayne) of Clarksville, TN, Glenn “BO” Parsons of Wasila, AK, and Chris Parsons of St. Charles, MO; 7 grandchildren: Melissa Wickham (Tom) of Port Charlotte, FL, Jane Albright of Clarksville, TN, Jacob Albright of Largo, FL, Damion Parsons of Wasilla, AK, Tori Parsons of Crocker, MO, and Grace Parsons of Richland, MO; 7 great grandchildren: Kaela, Morgan, Chase, Caden, Dimitri, Owen, and Lily; 6 great-great grandchildren: Leia, Grayson, Lyla, Nikoli, Everly, and Ayden; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marie’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved. Her kind caring ways, loving heart, and warm smile will forever be missed.
