Garnett “Neil” Walters, 59, of Rolla, MO, longtime member of Covenant Quartet of Waynesville, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in his home after a hard fought battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 in Rolla Church of the Nazarene of Rolla, MO. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery near Rolla, MO. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 in the Rolla Church of the Nazarene of Rolla, MO. The public is invited to attend a Southern Gospel Music Celebration in honor of Neil Walters, featuring Covenant Quartet, Singing Disciples, and Heritage Boys, at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 in the Rolla Church of the Nazarene of Rolla, MO. Neil is survived by his wife: Kathy Walters of the home; parents: Garnett and Judith Walters of Branson West, MO; three children: Elizabeth Graham (Jeremy) of the state of Texas, Andrew Shelton and Lindsey Shelton, both of Rolla, MO; one brother: Kent Walters of Jefferson City, MO; one sister: Jennifer Walters-Ward (Tom) of Peck, KS; several other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Neil Walters and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert or Rolla Church of the Nazarene.
