Hannelore Caulk

January 30, 1956 - June 27, 2016

Hannelore Caulk, daughter of Edmund Scheu and Ottilia Abbzecht, was born January 30, 1956 in Essenhein, Germany where she grew up and attended school. She attended vocational school in Mainz, Germany. On September 28, 1973, Hannelore was united in marriage to Marvin George Caulk, a United States Army soldier who she met while he was stationed in Germany. They were married in Nieder Olm, Germany and shortly after their marriage they were transferred to the United States. While still in Germany, Hannelore worked at a bakery and a department store. Hannelore obtained her CNA license and after coming to the United States and being transferred to the Fort Leonard Wood area, Hannelore worked as a CNA at Balance Care in Dixon and then at Life Care Center in Waynesville. In her spare time, Hannelore loved to read and watch movies. She was an avid animal lover and would take on about any stray dog or cat that she came across. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Hannelore passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center of Rolla, Missouri having attained the age of 60 years, 4 months and 28 days. Hannelore leaves to cherish her memory two sons: Edmund Gottfried-Caulk and wife Sara of Richland, MO. and Harold Caulk of Waynesville, MO; one daughter: Laura Caulk of Pontoon Beach, IL; her mother: Ottilia Abbzecht of Germany; one sister: Stephanie Drees of Germany; one brother: Alexander Scheu of Holland; seven grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Hannelore was preceded in death by her father: Edmund Scheu; her husband: Marvin George Caulk; and one brother: Michael Scheu; and one sister: Petra Scheu. Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville with Rev. Christopher Hendrix officiating. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Hannelore Caulk and may be left at the funeral home.
