Helen Victoria Palmatier

Helen Victoria Palmatier, daughter of the late Eli Nelson and Potrinela Boote Blair, was born November 26, 1928, in Byron Center, Michigan, where she grew up and attended school. Helen made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age, and was a devoted Christian. Helen was married and six children were born, Sandra, Kathleen, Dawn, Robert, Rebecca and Debra. Helen was able to be a stay at home mom, raising her family and taking care of her home. She was very proud of her family and treasured the special times that they spent together. She especially enjoyed visiting with her friends and neighbors. Helen decided to move to Richland in 2008, and greatly enjoyed her time in the community. Helen’s hobbies included singing, taking care of her plants, and collecting owls. She was also an avid animal lover. Helen passed away the morning of Sunday, July 13, 2014, in the Mercy Hospital of Lebanon, Missouri at the age of 85 years. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. Helen leaves to cherish her memory her five children, Sandra Miller (Cecil) of Ionia, MI; Kathleen Nienhuis (Ron) of Hudsonville, MI; Dawn Bruff of Manistee, MI; Robert Reader and Rebecca Parsley both of Richland, MO; one brother, Fred Blair of Seattle, WA; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Debra Corbet, three brothers, Ernie, Edward and Bob Blair and two sisters, Erma Blair, Alice Richard.
