John Scott Senovich
June 16, 1968 - September 16, 2014
John was born on June 16th, 1968, at Fort Leonard Wood hospital. He was a quiet boy who enjoyed turtles, walking in the woods and playing with bugs. He attended grade school in Laquey, attended Waynesville Junior High and graduated from Waynesville High School. After high school, John performed in several bands—the most popular of which, the Base Apes, remains a relevant memory of his peers to this day. John was an avid audiophile and musician, collaborating with a multitude of bands and artists for three decades, leaving behind an extensive library of music. He also published several books—some on the paranormal—and maintained a prolific internet presence. Meanwhile, he worked most of his adult life as an over-the-road driver for companies such as Trailiner and IWX. Driving for Upstaging, Inc., he accompanied artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Beck, The Smashing Pumpkins, U2, Janet Jackson, Prince and Marilyn Manson across the nation. John belonged to the Missouri Film Alliance and produced, wrote and directed two films of underground acclaim—Redneck Carnage and Dystopia: 2013; a long-running local weekly television program, The Johnno Show; and also produced local tv commercials. John will be sadly missed by a multitude of friends, family and fans who are forever changed, and survived by his mother, Sharon; his brother, Sam; his brother, Michael Stevens, and his family; his cousins, Donald and Dean Keys, and their families; many other relatives and many, many friends. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Rev. Christopher Hendrix officiating. The songs “In God’s Eyes” and “Medley: These Are Difficult Times/Remember the Good Times” by Willie Nelson were played. Music was also provided by Juni Perez and the Spanish Lighthouse Choir. Also speaking was Pastor Benny Perez of the Spanish Lighthouse.
