Judith Ellen Grimes

December 24, 1946 - September 26, 2017

Judith Ellen Grimes, daughter of the late Raymond Andrew and Helen Ida (Ponavich) Weir, was born December 24, 1946 in Pontiac, Michigan where she grew up and attended school. In 1967, Judith was united in marriage to William Grimes and to this union two children were born, Robin and Debra. Judith was a very hardworking woman and took great pride in helping to provide for her family. She had various jobs over the years: taking care of others, cleaning houses, factory worker, restaurant and most importantly she was a mom. She loved her two girls deeply and loved taking care of them. In her spare time, Judith loved listening to music and working out in her garden, whether it was a flower garden or vegetable garden. She loved having family and friends over and cooking for them. She liked to sew and watching her favorite team, the Detroit Tigers, on television. Judith passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in the Life Care Center of Waynesville, Missouri having attained the age of 70 years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. Judith leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters: Robin Mooar (Jim) of Waynesville, Missouri and Debra Grimes of West Jordan, Utah; six grandchildren: James and Nicole Mooar, William and Raeonna Grimes and Tristan and Lilyanna Harward; two great grandchildren: Raegan and Kingslee Mooar; four siblings: Janice Model, Richard Weir, Bob Highland and Diane Weir; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by five brothers: Raymond, David, Orville, Joey and Danny Weir. Services will be held at a later date and will be announced by Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
