Leah Helen Gordon

April 26, 1944 - October 14, 2015

Leah Helen Gordon, daughter of the late Malcolm and Margaret (Rush) Steadman, was born April 26, 1944 in Boston, Massachusetts where she grew up and attended school. On December 29, 1979, Leah was united in marriage to Donald Lloyd Gordon in Boston, Massachusetts. They shared over 35 years of marriage together and three children: JoAnn, Lisa and Joseph. While living in Boston, Leah worked in retail and also worked at Dunkin Donuts which was her favorite job. Most of her working years, she was privileged to stay home and raise her family. In 2004, Leah and her family moved to the Waynesville, Missouri area and has been a member of the Waynesville community since that time. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting her nails and caring for her home and family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Leah passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri having attained the age of 71 years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. Leah leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Donald Gordon of the home; two daughters: JoAnn Goethe (Kenneth) of Waynesville, MO and Lisa Jensen (Richard) of Plymouth, MA; one son: Joseph Myatt, Jr. of Leominster, MA; seven grandchildren: Mallory Washington, Kenneth Goethe, Jr. ,Douglas Dowling, Robert Dowling, Andrew Jensen, Tracy Jensen and Ashley Haman; twelve great grandchildren: Nevaeh Myatt-Goethe, Kash Barr, Brendan Pinto, Ryan Pinto, Rilynn Hooley, Reese Jensen, Tristan Dowling, Rowan Jensen, Trey Dowling, Kyren Cormier, Paisley Haman and Kegan Dowling; three sisters: Diane Weir of Brockton, MA, Sandra Belmont of Boston, MA and Margaret Camron of Boston, MA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Leah was preceded in death by two brothers: Malcum and Paul Steadman; four sisters: Carol Reynolds, Dottie Lewis, Jean Dobbins and Mary Dowling; and one great grandchild: Luv Marie Myatt. There are no services planned at this time and arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Leah Gordon and may be left at the funeral home.
