Lola Faye Phinney, daughter of the late Owen and Mamie (Rainey) Carothers, was born September 2, 1940 in Modesto, California. She passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 in her home in Lebanon, Missouri having attained the age of 75 years, 10 months and 8 days. Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016, in Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert with Bro. Gary Humphrey officiating. Soloist Chris Hendrix sang “I Can Only Imagine” and the song “I Believe” was played. Burial followed in the Buckhorn Cemetery, under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels. Mrs. Phinney is survived by 2 daughters, Valerie Crossland (Randy) of Richland, MO, Jeanette Roth (Tim) of Lebanon, MO, 4 sons, Harvey Phinney of Laquey, MO, Richard Phinney (Linda) of Richland, MO, Michael Phinney (Michelle) of Washington, MO, and Johnny Phinney (Jo) of Washington, MO; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial has been established to the The Alzheimer’s Assoc. and the American Cancer Society, in memory of Lola Phinney, and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
