Maria Virgin Figueroa Santos De Jesus, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in the afternoon in her home St. Robert, MO, at the age of 73. Loving mother of 2 boys Vance Davis of St. Robert, MO Brian Kirk Davis Sr (St. Louis, MO). She's survived by her oldest Son Vance Davis and 5 grandchildren (Vance's children) Alicia Davis of St. Louis, MO and Ian Davis of Las Vegas, NV and (Brian's children) Dalan Nicole Booras (Davis), Brian Kirk Davis Jr, and Brenden Stephen Davis; 5 great grandchildren Mia Marie Cordry, Alexandra Nicole Matteoni, Jenna Mae Matteoni (Alicia's children), Peter Stephen Booras, Brinley Jean Booras (Dalan's children); Nieces:(Samuel Jr. children) Raquel Maria Santos, Anastacia Louise Rose Santos and Destiny Bailey Santos; Cousins lots of cousins she kept in close contact with Ana María Feliz in Puerto Rico. Raised like sisters Edmee Cappas Velez and her Daughter the daughter Maria never had but proudly said that's my Daughter Daisy Ivette Acosta Cappas granddaughter Alyana Edmee Smith Acosta great granddaughters Aliya Mariana and Melody LeiBriAna Acosta Maria was born on January 17, 1948 in Cayey Puerto Rico to Juanita (De Jesús) y Arturo Santiago aka Baro the only father she ever knew. Maria was preceded in death by her Mother Juanita DeJesus , Brother Héctor Santos De Jesus aka Papo, and her son Brian Davis. With surviving family in Puerto Rico and all over the US her Sibling Samuel Santos Jr of Atlanta, Georgia She loved serving her country for over 30 plus years was a retired United States Army Veteran SFC-E-7. After retirement she worked human resource for Summit hiring Security Guards for different Companies she did that for 10 years. She raised 2 service men herself, Vance and Brian. Family raised together and going back for generations like Edmee Cappas and the Cappas -Velez Familia. Adored by so many like Iris Perez, Enid Ayala, Shirley Reyes, Ramona MacCash Bautista aka Mona, Christina Rodriguez to name a few, they have been around for years Maria was family to them traveling the world or just sitting around telling old stories was how Maria spent her retirement living and loving life. Maria loved her Island of Puerto Rico. She never missed a Puerto Rican Parade when she lived in New York... and Ohhh yes we must add HER Yankees. Mom was avid Salsa music lover made her body move on its own and how she loved to dance, she didn't need a partner to move those hips. She was known for her wit she wasn't one to sugar coat and favorite Spanish wording was aaa Essss'Stupid or my favorite Hello Titi. Her infectious LOVE for life, and lord knows she was so kind and compassionate. Adored not only by many friends and family, but also by those she spent her life recruiting for the United States Army. Celebration of Life services with military honors will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Maria Figueroa and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
