Mary Ann (Crismon) Miller, daughter of the late Clarence and Freeda (Storie) Crismon, was born February 10, 1945 in Waynesville, Missouri. As a young girl, Mary Ann attended Laquey School and her high school years were spent at Richland High School where she graduated in 1963. On November 15, 1964, Mary Ann was united in marriage to Larry Miller and they shared over 50 years together and many wonderful memories. Mary Ann worked at the local newspaper and hospital. She later spent many years as a bus driver and teacher’s aide for the State School. She also worked as a florist and finally crafter/quilter. In her spare time, Mary Ann loved crafting, sewing, and especially quilting. She was a retired board member of 28 years for Laquey School, a member of the Laquey Lions Club, and master funnel cake maker for the preschool class. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends; especially her grandchildren. As a young girl, Mary Ann made a profession of faith in Christ and was baptized. She was a member of Buckhorn First Baptist church. Mary Ann went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 11, 2017 at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital having attained the age of 72 years, 1 month and 1 day. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Larry Miller of Waynesville, MO; 3 children: Eddie Miller (Stephanie) of Niangua, MO, Willie Miller (Tracy) of Waynesville, MO and Cris Ann Leckrone (Guy) of Waynesville, MO; 2 brothers: Tony Crismon (Linda) of Waynesville, MO and Gilbert Crismon (Patsy) of Jasper, MO; 8 grandchildren: Chris, Bryan, Justin, Kylah, Willie, Jacob, Austin, and Baleigh; 1 great grandchild: Malakai; several other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, Clarence and Freeda, Mary Ann was preceded in death by one brother, Carroll Crismon. Services were held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in the First Baptist Church of Buckhorn, Missouri with Bro. Paul Miller and Bro. Calvin Gladden officiating. Mary Ann’s brother, Gilbert Crismon recalled his wonderful memories of Mary Ann and sang “Amazing Grace” and “Who Am I”. Serving as escorts were Bryan Miller, Justin Miller, Willie Miller, Jacob Leckrone, Austin Leckrone and Tony Dean Crismon. Serving as honorary escorts were Carroll “Buzz” Hendrix and Willie Crismon. Burial followed in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary Ann Miller and may be left at the funeral home.
