Michael David Elmer Jr.

July 6, 1986 - January 27, 2020

Michael David Elmer, Jr., son of Michael David Elmer and Petra Schöneberger Elmer, was born July 6, 1986 in Ft. Polk, Louisiana. Michael was a military brat and because of this he was able to live in many different places during his life. This included not only his birthplace of Louisiana, but also Germany, Arizona, Colorado and finally Missouri. He attended Laquey High School in Laquey, Missouri where he graduated with the Class of 2005. Michael loved animals and from the time he was little, he wanted to be a veterinarian. He was a fun-loving guy and if he was your friend, then you were friends for life. Michael loved his family more than anything and looked forward to every visit, especially his nieces and nephew. Michael lost his battle to live and joined our heavenly father on Tuesday, January 27, 2020 at SSM St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri having attained the age of 33 years. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father and stepmother: Michael and Terrie Elmer of Daegu, South Korea; mother: Petra Elmer of Weisenheim, Germany; one brother: Kevin Elmer (Megan) of Hudson, CO; one nephew: Zachary Elmer; two nieces: Makenzie and Alice Elmer; two step siblings Brittany Holman (Bradley) and Austin Allen and many other relatives and friends. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Pastor Danny Graves officiating. The song “Go Rest High on that Mountain” was played. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Michael Elmer, Jr. and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
