Paul Wayne Becker Jr.

December 19, 1965 - June 9, 2015

Paul Wayne Becker, Jr., 49, of Farmington, MO, formerly of Dixon, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Wonderland Camp on Lake of the Ozarks in Rocky Mount, MO. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, June 22, 2015 in the St. Francois County Group Home of Farmington, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015 in the Knights of the Pythias Cemetery of Farmington, MO. Paul was born at McConnell Air Force Base Hospital in Wichita, Kansas to Paul Becker, Sr. and Debra Sue Hubbard. He graduated from Spencer High School in Columbus, Georgia in 1984. He had been living at the St. Francois County Group Home in Farmington, Missouri since April 30, 2014. Paul was an avid outdoorsman who loved above all else to fish. When asked by his doctors how he was feeling, he would often reply, “OK except for fishin’ fever.” He also loved to camp, ride his bike, take nature walks and drives looking for deer, and walk his beloved dog, “Tiger.” Paul was a collector of military patches, and had a keen eye for good deals at yard sales and thrift stores. He loved history. At home he enjoyed cooking and eating spicy food, and dreamed of one day living in his own apartment – preferably after winning the lottery. Paul was also a hard worker and well-respected employee of Save-A-Lot for 4 years, where several customers timed their shopping to coincide with Paul’s work schedule just so they could see him and say hello. Paul was a great storyteller and simply loved to talk. Paul rarely complained about anything (except cold weather and cleaning his room), instead finding the best in every situation, and never held a grudge. He was generous to a fault with his money, wishing always to buy lunch for his friends. Paul will be deeply missed by his many friends and adopted family members.
