It was during his high school years that he met his wife of 45 years, Tina Ferguson. Together they raised a wonderful daughter and four precious grandchildren. Ron was a very laid-back man. When asked about him everyone always said he was the sweetest soul they ever met. Ron held several different jobs during is life starting with working at Walmart while he was in High School. He then went on to work with his dad at Woody & Son Excavation for a while. He also worked at MODoT for a few years but the job he was the most proud of was working for the City of St. Robert. He worked there in several different departments from 1987 until he retired in 2017. His favorite position was being the Groundskeeper of the Parks and taking care of the Community Center. If you ever went to an event in that building more than likely you saw him there. Ron was also a member of the Pulaski County Shrine Club. When Ron was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. All of his life he loved horses. He would go trail riding and even showed them some. He even taught his daughter at a young age to ride. He really just enjoyed being outdoors. In his high school days, it was riding his motorcycle and as he got older, he enjoyed taking care of his yard and fishing with his grandkids. Not many people know this but when he was a child, he even played the accordion. Ron will be missed by many. He leaves to cherish his memory, his Mother-In-Law Wanda Ferguson, his daughter Jennifer Shupe and her husband Terry. Ron's grandchildren will truly miss their “Papa Ron”, Jaycee Herman and husband Tyler, Jaymee Davis and husband Dakota, Justin Flynt, Jackson Flynt, and Kylie Barber-Shupe and great grandchildren Carter, Zoey, Olivia, Madison, Presley, Finley, and Riley.
