Russell DeWayne May

June 27, 1977 - May 23, 2015

Russel "DeWayne" May, son of Bearl Dewayne and Glenda Faye (Hodge) May, was born June 27, 1977 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, May 23, 2015 peacefully in his sleep at his home in Waynesville, Missouri, at the young age of thirty-seven years. He is survived by three children, Genesis Raechelle Nall, her husband Cody Nall, and DeWayne Michael May, all of St. Robert, MO; his granddaughter, Aralie Lynae Nall; his parents, Bearl and Faye May of Waynesville, MO; a sister, Melissa Lynch of Waynesville, MO; two brothers, Damon May of Denver, CO and Matthew May of Prescott Valley, AZ; his paternal grandparents, Bearl C. and Juanita May of Doniphan, MO; a number of neices and a nephew; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was received into heaven by the love of his life, Jennie May, who he had missed dearly and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Della Ann Hodge. Earlier in his life he served his country in the United States Navy, and was ecstatic to have retired in his 30's. His family was extremely important to him and he loved spending time with them, especially his granddaughter. He loved to pass out "treats" and enjoyed making people smile. DeWayne will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that were blessed with knowing and loving him. The memories he created for his family and friends will live on in our hearts forever. His body has been cremated under the care of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville.
