Susan "Susie" Aimee Bailey
September 9, 1968 - December 12, 2015
Susan Aimee Bailey, daughter of the late Gary Leigh and Harriet Marie (Lenn) Kindler, was born September 9, 1968, in Kaneohe, Hawaii. However, her father, a United States Marine, relocated her family to Oceanside, California, where “Susie,” as she is known by, went to school, graduating from Oceanside High School in 1986. Soon, Susie met and fell in love with a handsome young Marine, Harry Anthony Bailey, Jr. and on August 31, 1991, she married the love of her life in Oceanside, California. Their union was later blessed by God with three beautiful children, Aimee Marie, Ciara Elizabeth, and Garrett Lowell. Harry and Susie moved their little family fourteen times during Harry’s military career before finally being stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Loving the area so much, the couple decided to purchase a small farm near Richland in 2005, where Susie could finish homeschooling their children, as well as raise horses and other animals. Susie loved her role as a loving wife and mother, considering it to be the most important job one could ever have. Susie’s mission in life was to raise happy, healthy children as they were her treasures in this life. She had many talents, yet Susie had a humble spirit. She enjoyed horseback riding. She was committed to living an organic lifestyle. Being very health conscious, the family planted their own garden and also raised various kinds of farm animals including dairy goats, which kept them busy milking. Susie was an herbalist; she made her own soap and even had a grain mill that she used to make her own flour, which in turn provided the family with hot, homemade bread. Susie loved cooking from scratch and created wonderful, homemade gourmet meals by just using things they had grown. She truly embodied a pioneer woman’s lifestyle. Susie made a profession of faith in Christ and was a devoted Christian woman. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Richland. Having a servant’s heart, Susie was active in her church, always ready to help with any church ministries. She loved her Lord, and her church family was very important to her. Surrounded by her loving family, Susie was gently carried away to her heavenly home by the Lord on the evening of December 12, 2015, having attained the age of 47 years. Though Susie is gone from our sight, she will always remain in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Gary and “Sue” Kindler. Susie leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Harry Anthony Bailey Jr., of Richland, MO, three children: Aimee Marie Bailey of Columbia, MO, Ciara Elizabeth Bailey, and Garrett Lowell Bailey both of the home; three siblings: Jeffery Kindler (Lily) of Yuma, AZ, Anna Kindler (David) of Fallbrook, CA and Kenneth Kindler (Lynn) of Sebastian, FL; her father and step-mother-in-law’s: Harry and Judy Bailey of Centre, AL; mother-in-law: Carol Howell of Punta Gorda, FL; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday December 18, 2015 in the First Baptist Church of Richland with Pastor Bob Lilly officiating. Pianist, Marleen Brown played while the congregation sang "Victory in Jesus," "When We All Get To Heaven," and "Jesus Paid It All." A graveside followed at 3:00 p.m., in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Waynesville, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Susie Bailey to the First Baptist Church of Richland and may be left at the church or at the Memorial Chapel of Richland funeral home.
