Andrea Hannelore Wiggs

Andrea Hannelore Wiggs, daughter of the late Kurt Fritz Stephan and Hedwig (Braun) Stephan, was born on January 6, 1961, in Karlsruhe, Germany. She grew up and attended school there with her three sisters, Cornelia, Betina, and Petra. Andrea was devoted to her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. She was the proud mother of two children, her daughter Jenny and her son Brian. During their early childhood, she was able to stay at home with them full-time. She always ensured they knew that they were cared for and loved. Many years later, she was blessed with her granddaughter, Alexa, whom she adored just as deeply. As a young woman, Andrea moved to the United States. Before settling in Missouri and having children, she worked in a sewing retail store. After relocating to the St. Robert, Missouri area, and following her time at home full-time with her children, she became a seamstress at Fort Leonard Wood. She later transitioned into issuing uniform items for Initial Entry Soldiers. For a decade, Andrea demonstrated not only her skill, but also her integrity, commitment, and strong work ethic. These were traits she carried not only in her career, but in all aspects of her life. Andrea married her husband, Nathan, on June 5, 2000, in Rolla, Missouri. They created many wonderful memories throughout their more than twenty-five loving years of marriage. Andrea made another significant commitment in her life by accepting Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was a dedicated member of the Rock of Ages Church of St. Robert, Missouri, and cherished the time she spent worshipping with her church family. In her free time, Andrea enjoyed sewing and making her own clothes. She loved crocheting for her family and elderly members of her church. She also took pleasure in drawing, assembling jigsaw puzzles, building dollhouses, and reading. She shared countless hours with her beloved granddaughter, Alexa, playing Barbie dolls, video and board games, and working on arts and crafts projects. Andrea went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of sixty-five, at her daughter’s home in Dixon, Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Alex “Nathan” Wiggs III, who still lives in the home they built together, in St. Robert, Missouri; her two children, Jenny Yocum of Dixon, Missouri, and Brian Yocum of Mississippi; her granddaughter, Alexa Yocum; two of her three sisters: Petra Ganz and her husband Volker of Germany, and Betina Gray and her husband Butch of Canton, Maine; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Cornelia. Andrea will be remembered as someone who commanded attention with her presence—almost silently, yet humbly. To know Andrea was to love her. Her spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, MO. Arrangements were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Celebration of Life services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026 in the Rock of Ages Church of St. Robert, Missouri with Pastor Mike Prater officiating. Music provided was "Amazing Grace", "My Sings Are Gone" and "I Can Only Imagine". Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Andrea Wiggs to the American Cancer Society and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
