SSG (Ret) Eric Dwayne Price

Eric Dwayne Price, son of the late Philip Corrado and Ethel (Current) Corrado, was born April 3, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio. At the young age of two, Eric and his family moved to Texas where he grew up in San Antonio and graduated from high school. At the age of 17, Eric entered the United States Army and served his country faithfully until his retirement in 1997 while stationed at Fort Leonard Wood. He spent his military career serving with the military police and earned several awards and commendations; some of which include: Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), Army Achievement Medal (4th Award), Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal (3rd Award), Humanitarian Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 2, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4th Award), Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal (K), Kuwait Liberation Medal (SA), Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar, Sharpshooter Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Pistol Bar, Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver-W Bar, Silver German Armed Forces Badge, and Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. He had attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. After retiring from the military, Eric was able to do more of the things that he enjoyed. He loved being outdoors while hiking, motorcycle riding, and cave diving. He was a member of the Freedom of the Road Riders, Masons, and the Mark Twain React. Even after retiring from the military, Eric continued serving his country as he was currently employed as a military defense training contractor on Fort Leonard Wood. On July 18, 2009, Eric was united in marriage to Rebecca Ann Davis in Buckhorn, Missouri. They shared the last 16 years together and many wonderful memories. Eric passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, in the Osage Beach Health Care & Rehab of Osage Beach, Missouri having attained the age of 67 of years. Eric will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Ann Price of the home; five children: Christian Balmer (Alyssa) of St. Robert, MO, Carolina Balmer of Sedalia, MO, Victoria Sharpensteen (Josh) of Crocker, MO, Jayme Balmer (David) of Montreal, MO, and Dylan Price (Tessa) of Port St. John, FL; nineteen grandchildren: Amber, Tristen, Justice, Kylar, Maramoni, Badeon, Aviendha, Octavia, Gracie, Benjamin, Addison, Westin, Sophia, Case, Aspen, Shauna, Kaylee, Addison, and Colden; two great-grandchildren: Emerie and Noelle; four adopted children; two siblings: Ronda Rothkegel of Daytona, FL and Marty Soule (Susan Banta) of Canyon City, CO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by one brother. Even though he is gone from our sight, Eric’s commitment to his country and family will live on in our hearts forever. Graveside services with military honors were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri with Chaplain Ricky Rodriguez officiating. Military honors were provided by the United States Army of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Eric Price and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
