Gage Evan Broxterman

Gage Evan Broxterman, son of Jerry Vaughn Broxterman and Lena June (Losey) Rhoades, was born March 11, 2007 in Plant City, Florida. Even though Gage was born in Florida, he has spent the most of his life in Missouri and was currently a student at the high school in the Waynesville R-VI School district. Gage enjoyed doing many different things. He enjoyed airsoft, gaming, shooting pool, working out, and wood working. His favorite place in the world was at a campground while camping and kayaking. Most kids don’t like broccoli, but Gage loved it and it was his favorite food. Gage was very gifted when it came to music and was a member of the school choir. He was also a member of the local Junior ROTC and attended the Waypoint United Methodist Church of Waynesville. Gage had a very giving heart and liked to help people any way that he possibly could. Gage passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 in Lakeland, Florida having attained the age of 15 years. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents: Lena and Phillip “Dusty” Rhoades of Waynesville, MO and Jerry and Rene Broxterman of Lakeland, FL; six siblings: Tyler Broxterman, Arista Yauger, Devin Rhoades, Michael Broxterman, David Broxterman, and James Broxterman; grandparents: Lavana Sue Broxterman and Doreen Johnson; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Gage was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and his maternal grandparents. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2022 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert with Pastor Brett Reith officiating. The songs “Ain’t that a Kick in the Head” by Dean Martin, “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay, and “Girls/Girls/Boys” by Panic! At the Disco were played. Serving as escorts were Tyler Broxterman, Ben McCabe, Devin Rhoades, Troy Frey, Cody Kamplain, Nathan Matlick, Rick Conway, and William Losey. Burial followed in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery of Waynesville. Memorial contributions to the family can be made in memory of Gage Broxterman, and may be left at the funeral home.
