James Aaron Burnett Carmack

James Aaron Burnett Carmack, son of Gary and Belinda Carmack, was born July 25, 1988 in Columbia, Missouri. James grew up in the Waynesville area where he attended school. James was a fun loving young man. He enjoyed reading and discussing history, government and anthropology. He loved to be outdoors: whether it was going fishing or rabbit and coon hunting. He was an avid animal lover; he would take care of any stray cat that followed him home and he enjoyed working with the beagles while hunting. James loved sports, but especially football and his Kansas City Chiefs. He would watch every game he could and enjoyed keeping stats on the team. James’ main passion in life was family gatherings. He loved spending time with his family. He was an amazing uncle to his many nephews and one niece. He would play any sport with his nephews, attend their games and wrestle with them. James was also a wonderful dad to his girlfriend’s son, Cian Thomason. If you were to ask James, he considered Cian to be his son. He loved him immensely. Just recently, James made a very important decision in his life and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He was making plans to be baptized before he passed away. He enjoyed attending Stonebrooke Church of St. Robert. James passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 in his home having attained the age of 25 years. He will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved him. James leaves to cherish his memory his parents: Gary and Belinda Carmack; one sister: Natalie Carmack McCart and husband, Mike; two brothers: Nathan Carmack and wife Michele and Tommy Peterson and wife Carrie; maternal grandparents: Ralph and Allene Peterson all of Waynesville, MO; special friend: Sarah Thomason and son Cian Thomason; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, one niece, other relatives and friends. James was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Don and Lela Akery. Funeral services were held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in the Waynesville United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill O’Neal officiating. Music was provided by the United Methodist Church Praise Team and the music video “Lime Tree” was played. Serving as escorts were Tyler Stuart, Nick West, Jeremiah Keppel, Jon Hammock, Victor Branch, Raphael Perry, Patrick Westfeld and Corey Stuart. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
