Mathol Anne Hill

Mathol Anne Hill, daughter of Archie and Velma (Odom) Nichols, was born May 26, 1941 in Wellston, Missouri. She went home to be with her Lord Saturday, October 27, 2018 in the Life Care Center of Waynesville, Missouri having attained the age of seventy-seven years. Anne, as she was known to her family and friends, grew up in the Dixon area and graduated from Dixon High School. At the young age of sixteen, Anne (according to her words years later) decided she needed a husband, so she married Charles Eldo Hill on October 13, 1957 in Waynesville, Missouri. They shared over sixty-one years of marriage together and were blessed with three children: Theresa, Nancy and Ronald. Anne worked for Revlon as a make-up artist / consultant and retired after twenty-seven years of faithful service. In her spare time, she loved to go camping and travel with her family. She also enjoyed cooking for and helping others in any and every way she possibly could. As a young girl, Anne made a profession of faith and was currently a member of the Westside Baptist Church. She was very active in the church until her health started to decline. She taught Sunday School, helped in the kitchen at church and supervised the kitchen committee for many, many years. Anne loved her family tremendously and enjoyed all the time they could spend together, especially her grandchildren: Coty and Shelby. Anne leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Charles of the home; two daughters, Theresa Clay of Dixon, MO, and Nancy Crawford (Don) of Waynesville, MO; her son, Ronald Hill of Laquey, MO; two grandchildren, Coty Crawford and Shelby Clay; a brother, Norman Nichols (Peggy) of Dixon, MO; a niece Pam Ellis (Dirk) of Osage Beach, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by one great niece, Jenna Patterson. Anne will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved her. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 in the Westside Baptist Church of Waynesville with Pastor John Shaw and Pastor Lindell Shelden officiating. Soloist Mike Freeman was accompanied by Renita DeMalade as he sang “Amazing Grace” and soloist Becky Lercher sang “It Is Well With My Soul”. Mike and Becky also sang “Blessed Assurance”. Serving as escorts were Bruce Martin, Paul Lowe, Ronnie Dye, Steve Lynch, Nick Vanderveen, and Mark Longenecker. Serving as honorary escorts were Dwight Hensley, Marvin Long and Kenny Foster. Burial followed in the Deerlick Cemetery of Waynesville, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions in memory of Mathol Hill to the Deerlick Cemetery Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
