Patricia Anne Brown

Patricia Anne Brown was born February 24, 1946 in Woodstock, Illinois. She was one of four children born to the union of the late Frank and Helen (Beck) Scott. Pat went home to be with her Lord May 16, 2009, at St. John’s Regional Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 22 days. Pat was baptized and confirmed in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Harvard, Illinois. She also attended St. Joseph’s primary school. She later attended North Boone High School in Poplar Grove, Illinois. On February 14, 1992, at the Lutheran Church in Lebanon, Missouri, Pat was re-united in marriage with Norman Lewie Brown. Pat and Norman shared four children: Dannie, Lisa, Dana and David. Norman preceded Pat in death on September 29, 2008. For the last 35 years, Pat happily made Richland, Missouri her home. She waited on countless customers at many area restaurants, such as Smitty’s in Waynesville, Road Ranger, St. Robert, B & D Truck Port, Lebanon and Ellen’s Corner, Richland. Pat was very artistic and made beautiful saw blade paintings. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens and sharing morning coffee with her daughter, Dana. Pat was an excellent cook, and she enjoyed cooking for family gatherings. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. Pat was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her four children: Dannie Maness, Effingham, Illinois, Lisa Odle, Jefferson City, Dana Bushong, her companion, Tim Brockes, and David Woods all of Richland; sister: Mary Blodgett, Poplar Grove, Illinois; nine grandchildren: Keenan, Angela, Travis, Marie, Donnie, Albert, David, Joey and Larry; six great grandchildren: Trevor, Alex, Elijah, Danika, Anthony and Destiny, several nieces, nephews and dear friends: Sherri Bell, Conway and Janet McMahon, Richland. In addition to her parents and husband, Norman, Pat was preceded in death by her brothers: Bill and John Scott. A memorial gathering was held Tuesday, May 19, 2009 from 2–4 P.M. in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Richland. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Richland. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Pat Brown and left at the funeral home.
