Patrick Alan Taft

Patrick Alan Taft, loving husband, brother, father and grandfather left his earthly body to be with his savior in heaven on December 12, 2025. He was 62 years old. Patrick was born in Inglewood, California to Billy Vernon Taft and Joan Marie McKindley on August 22, 1963. He grew up with his younger sister and spent many hours at the beach with his cousins. Patrick entered the U.S. Navy in 1982 and served on the USS John Adams and the USS Ulysses S. Grant. After leaving the Navy, Patrick worked numerous jobs in California. He fought Stage 4 cancer and attended college. He moved to Utah and worked as a manager for several different companies and was employed by Discover Card when he met his wife Deby in 2001. After moving to Hyrum, Pat continued in management and sales until his job at Best Buy facilitated a move to Arizona. In January 2020, Pat and Deby moved to Missouri to prepare for retirement. Pat worked for Classic Buildings, dabbled in Life Insurance and Medicare, and was a Peer Support Specialist with Compass Health. Pat had a genuine compassion for helping others. As we remember Pat, we must also know that God in Heaven has welcomed him with open arms and has said to him "Well done my son, you have been a kind and noble servant." Patrick leaves behind his wife of 20 years, a sister Julie (Dennis) Dimick of McMinnville, OR, son Johathon (Karen) Hopsicker of Newport, NY, daughter Jessica (Jason) Anderson of Franklin, IN, son Konrad (Anna) Taft of Surprise, AZ, daughter Stefanie (Jacob) Foushee of Vancouver, WA, daughter Mindy Taft of Phoenix, AZ, three stepsons, Sean, Kevin and Bryan McArthur of Utah, grandchildren Evan, Lauren, and Hunter Anderson, Tucker, Hudson, and Ellie Hopsicker, Matt McArthur and many uncles, aunts and cousins along with a host of friends and acquaintances across the country.
