Teresa George

Teresa George, daughter of the late Enocionio Salilin and Egliciria (Aboy) Salilin, was born on October 15, 1964, in Barcelona, Lingig, Surigao del Sur, Philippines. She spent her childhood there and graduated from high school in her hometown. As a young woman, Teresa met Randy Dale George, a United States Marine, who became the love of her life. They were married on May 16, 1987, in Independence, Kansas. Together, they were blessed with two children: James Tyrel and Sarah Anne. Due to Randy’s military career, Teresa embraced the military lifestyle and experienced frequent moves to various duty stations. In 2004, the family settled in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and chose to make it their permanent home. Teresa worked at the commissary for 20 years, completing her career and retiring in Fort Leonard Wood, where she formed many lasting friendships. Teresa was deeply devoted to her friends and cherished her active social life. She was known for her generosity and for always thinking of others first. She loved to cook and prepare meals for family and friends, finding great joy in caring for those around her. Teresa also enjoyed gardening, shopping, watching Korean and Chinese dramas, and traveling—especially trips to casinos with her husband and friends. She maintained an energetic and active lifestyle throughout her life. After Randy passed away in 2018, Teresa faithfully visited her husband’s grave every day. Her dog Max and her friends, who were like sisters to her, became her loyal companions during this time. Teresa cherished her family above all else and treasured every moment spent together. She adored her two granddaughters, Chase and Dylan Lincoln. Teresa entered her eternal rest on Friday, April 17, 2026, at her home in St. Robert, Missouri, at the age of 61. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Teresa is survived by her two children, James Tyrel George of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Sarah Anne Lincoln (Steven) of Columbia, Missouri; two granddaughters, Chase and Dylan Lincoln; three brothers, Eduard, Joel, and Adones; three sisters, Elisa, Mercila, and Alicia; her father-in-law, John Roger George (Teri) of Independence, Kansas; her mother-in-law, Ramona Irene Meise of Elk City, Kansas; her brother-in-law, Richard George (Diane) of Coffeyville, Kansas; her sister-in-law, Stacey Yakshaw of Sycamore, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LTC (Ret.) Randy George; five siblings; her stepfather-in-law, Glenn Meise; and her brother-in-law, Brian Yakshaw. Though Teresa is no longer with us, her love and dedication to everyone will remain in our hearts forever. Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert with Father Mel Somera officiating. The song "On Eagle's Wings" by Michael Joncas was played. Serving as escorts were family and friends. Burial followed in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville. Services and arrangements were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial Contributions in memory of Teresa George may be made, and contributions may be left at Memorial Chapel.
