Ursula Jutta Sullivan

Ursula Jutta Sullivan, daughter of the late Willy Gustav Vieck and Erika Amanda (Kröhnert) Vieck, was born February 3, 1946, in Fürth, Germany where she grew up and attended school. Ursula met a young United States military man by the name of Martin Lynn Sullivan. They were united in marriage on March 4, 1966, when she was 19 and he was 18 years of age. Their journey in life began. They traveled a lot and they were also blessed with two children: Natalie and Diana. Due to Martin being in the military, Ursula and the family moved to different duty stations eventually coming to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Ursula worked as a budget analyst all of her life and worked for the Department of the Army where she retired. In her spare time, Ursula liked to go shopping, decorating, spending time with friends and family, getting her hair done, and planting flowers. She loved a good party and had no filter when visiting with people. She was a member of the St. Robert American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Francis J. Lynch VFW Post 3168 of Laquey. Ursula passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri having attained the age of 80 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings: Ingrid and Astrid. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband: Martin Sullivan of Fort Leonard Wood, MO; two children: Natalie Jeffery (TJ) of Plato, MO and Diana Vroman (Woody) of Lacey, WA; five grandchildren: Kinsley Jeffery of Plato, MO, Kiley McClendon (Caedon) of Plato, MO, Brandon Martin (Kayla) of Olympia, WA, Barent Vroman of Seattle, WA, and Taylor Vroman of Lacey, WA; two great-grandchildren: Braylon and Ezra; other relatives and friends. Even though she is gone from our sight, Ursula’s spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert with Pastor Richard Breeden officiating. The songs "Marie Laveau" by Bobby Bare, "Wooden Heart" by Elvis Presley and "Days Like These" by Luke Combs were played. Serving as escorts were Caedon McClendon, Travis Harrison, Ben Good, Thomas Jeffery, Barent Vroman, Brandon Vroman, and Corbin Boldon. Burial followed in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville, MO. Services were under the care and direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ursula Sullivan and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
