Wanda Lou "MO" Brown

Wanda Lou “MO” Brown, daughter of the late Junior Edwin Landreth and Edith Geneva (Wilson) Landreth, was born December 18, 1938 in Duke, Missouri on the family farm. As a young girl, MO, as she was known by her family and friends, attended school in Richland, Missouri. On December 24, 1954, MO was united in marriage to Kerry Dale Brown. They were blessed with four children: Keri, Danny, Vena, and Shannon. Due to Kerry being in the military, the family lived a military life for several years before settling in Richland, where MO has resided for the past 50 years. MO was a very loving woman and took care of children in her home for several families in the Richland area for many years. She cared for them as if they were her own. In her spare time, MO enjoyed sewing and baking. She made the best rolls and she loved cooking for her family and friends. Her greatest joy came from caring for her family. She worshipped her kids, grandchildren, the ones that she cared for and her great grandchildren were her pride and joy. MO had made an important decision in her life and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Richland. MO went home to be with her Lord Friday, December 24, 2021, in the Richland Care Center having attained the age of 83 years. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her. MO leaves to cherish her memory, her four children, Keri Bennett (Tom) of Richland, MO, Danny Brown (Joyce) of Union, MO, Vena Brown of Richland, MO, and Shannon Brown (Amy) of Ozark, MO.; four grandchildren, Melissa Urbas (Frankie), Amanda Mizer (Michael), Amy Agan, and Emma Butterfield; four great-grandchildren, Frankie John Urbas, Allie Jones, Braydin Agan, and Brandon Rogers; two siblings, Rhonda Friend of the state of Arkansas, and Rick Landreth of Waynesville, MO; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, MO was preceded in death by two siblings: Jesse Landreth and Gary Landreth; and one grandson: Scott Bennett. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in the Memorial Chapel of Richland with Rev. Rocky Harris officiating. The songs "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)" and "Victory in Jesus" by Mary Ann Tate and "Go Rest High on that Mountain" by Vince Gill were played. Serving as escorts were family and friends. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery of Richland. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Wanda "MO" Brown and may be left at Memorial Chapel of Richland.
